After a long yet hopefully productive day at work, there is nothing better to me than coming home and catching up on the latest fashion magazines, watching my favorite TV series in the background and putting my Louboutin-clad feet up. Trend alert for Spring: must have stripes!
I am in Berlin! Loving the city - Today I saw the Brandenburg Gate, shopped at Galeries Lafayette and ate a wonderful meal at Michelin star restaurant Fischers Fritz. Tomorrow more restaurants and museums but first here is my outfit for the fabulous NYE party I am attending here in Berlin. More on that to come!
I am so pleased to announce that my first contribution post with
MFS sponsor Fashion Parkway is up and ready to view. My outfit post, titled Holiday Red,
is timed perfectly in the midst of this holiday season and couldn’t come at a
better time as I make the trip back to the States today to spend the holiday
with family and friends (and with this look packed with me).
Winter Wonderland: A great holiday festivity I highly recommend if you are in London or planning a visit. Amusement park meets carnival, the ultimate playground for children or adults who just want to feed their inner-child. A childhood favorite, I love carousels! What is your favorite childhood activity?
Today instead of the normal Talk the Talk Thursdays post, I am hosting one of my favorite style and lifestyle bloggers Mindy from the blog Mindy Erazo. I have asked her to share with us one of her Blogger Crushes (a recurring post of hers that I always love). I hope you enjoy and a big thanks to Mindy for today's guest post!
Hello Mouthful of Style readers, Mindy here from Mindy Erazo curating a guest post about one of my Blogger Crushes!
May I introduce you to the beautiful Andy Heart, a fashion and style blogger whom I have been following for about a year now. Her and I have very similar taste which is why I just love her blog. Her style is very chic, incorporating simple pieces with statement pieces all with a masculine edge while still keeping her femininity. Seems like a difficult thing to do but Miss Heart achieves it so effortlessly its brilliant.
Her color palette doesn't have the widest range but something about tone on tone and all black outfits doesn't bother me whatsoever, I mean, half my closet is black so I'm not one to judge! She's great at mixing designer pieces with more affordable ones which I love.
C'est trés chic, no?
Miss Heart's blog is filled with not only amazing outfit posts but she also includes many product reviews. I've bought quite a few products from her recommendations and none have disappointed. If that doesn't have you searching for her blog yet, she ALSO has some fun beauty tips and tricks like this great one for an edgy, yet sophisticated nail.
Huge fan of hers and I hope I've inspired you to check out her blog here.
Thank you so much to Mouthful of Style for asking me to do this guest blog. I had a lot of fun and I hope you all enjoyed my Blogger Crush!
There is nothing easier to wear than the classic white shirt. We all have this piece in our closets (or definitely a male in your household does)! But even though we all own or have easy access to the classic white shirt, I for one sometimes forget it is in my closet. Maybe this is because it is such a simple staple piece I take it for granted. My style tip: Just go oversized and your done! So throw on your white shirt (or grab your brother, husband, boyfriend, guy friend or whomever's) over really whatever for a clean, sharp look.
First off, I would like to clarify that I am NOT a matchy-matchy girl. I actually really discourage it in styling. I love mixing different prints and fabrics. But, in this case, it kind of really looks good! Rag & Bone's matching sweater and headband were never pieces I bought to wear together intentionally. I just really liked the pattern and it is so uncommon of me to purchase two items with the same design. So glad I went beyond my comfort zone and did!
Emmanuelle Alt is the editor-in-chief at Vogue Paris, aka "A Big Deal." She joined as fashion director of the magazine in 2001 and became editor-in-chief in February 2011. Ms. Alt's entire career has been in fashion journalism starting at French Elle at only 17 years old.
Ms. Alt is refreshing. She smiles, has a definitive style and minimalistic approach to beauty. All around laid-back chic.
Besides being smart and insanely good at her job, Ms. Alt obviously has a very keen eye from which she has driven her success. This most glaringly can be seen in her style: Jackets paired with t-shirts and skinny jeans. Years in the fashion industry and she knows what look's good on herself (and in magazines)!
